Data leakage, sometimes called information leakage, refers to the unauthorized passage of data or information from inside an organization to a destination outside its secured network. Data leakage can refer to electronic data, which can be transmitted via the Internet; or physical data, which can be stored and moved on devices like USB sticks or hard drives.
Data leakage, also known as low and slow data theft, is a huge problem for data security, and the damage caused to any organization, regardless of size or industry, can be serious. From declining revenue to a tarnished reputation or massive financial penalties to crippling lawsuits, this is a threat that any organization will want to protect themselves from.
In this meeting/webinar, we will hear from industry leaders, both vendors and practitioners, about defending against data leakage and the controls that can safeguard your organization.
